Bär von der Wässernach was born in October 1985. Owning a magnificent Newfoundland dog was Claudia's dream from childhood.

His great working drive (with and without water involved) as well as his social skills were such a contribution to Claudia's becoming a dog training professional!

He not only rated "excellent" in several shows, but, in his leisure time, pulled the sleigh with Claudia's son, helped to raise and socialize several dogs with difficult youths and took part successfully in obedience training classes (BH exam passed).

He shared this world with us until in May 1996 - in good health and after having had great fun with a doggie friend of his - he died from torsio ventriculi.
