Zeghi was born March 1992 as Puma von der Weinstadt.

He was Claudia's first German Shepherd - given or left as a sort of remnant - long haired and with limited working abilities (bred from pure show lines) his future seemed to be little promising.

However, with Claudia he proved to be a perfect and extremely social companion dog - and a very talented tracker. Together with him Claudia took her first steps in the dog sporting and SAR dog world - step by step they learned from each other.

They took part in several Tracking Regionals and eventually qualified for the first SV-German FH2 Championships in 1999.

His being severely allergic to an endless number of substances and the limited help which can be provided by the average vet made Claudia become an expert on dog nutrition and on allergic dogs - knowledge from which many a dog benefited since.

He enjoyed an adventurous and busy life as faithful companion, sporting dog and "helping hand" on Claudia's farm and dog boarding house until he died in June 2000 from a heart attack.
